For documentation, you can always refer to the included Javadocs, butJBox2D is very closely related to the C++ Box2D, so please see the C++documentation at Box2D.org which, apart from minor name changes (b2Body -> Body, for instance, and in the Java port methods are camel-cased instead of capitalized), should apply equally well to JBox2D.Also see the source code of the demos (the org.jbox2d.testbed.tests package) to see how various effects are achieved in JBox2D.
The documentation for Box2D is a good source for background understanding of the simulation engine. In addition, there is a detailed LDPhysics guide with plenty of examples included in the LitDev download . The following is an extract from this getting-started guide for the first and simplest example - just a ball that falls and bounces in a GraphicsWindow .
Here is a screen shot from Zock77's excellent dirt-bike game using LDPhysics . In addition to developing your Small Basic games to a new level, it will improve your understanding of the physics describing the way forces, impulses and torques affect the movement of objects. Perhaps you may even want to try the Box2D engine in other languages; for example Java for Android games. The LitDev extension can be downloaded from .
Point them to your own NDK and Android SDK paths. If you want to keep an NDK_ROOT environment variable:export NDK_ROOT=/Users/alex/android-ndk-r8bNext, create an android project. In Terminal, in the same directory as before:./create-android-project.sh --box2dThe --box2d parameter makes sure to include the Box2D library. You will be asked three questions:Identify your projectInput package path. We moved the relative location of the cocos2dx folder for the Android project. Instead of going two directories back, the cocos2dx folder is now one directory back and in the libs folder. In /android/build_native.sh, change line 40:
